    Our Lady of the Magnificat Parish in Kinnelon, NJ in communion with the Bishop of Paterson is rooted in the tradition of the Catholic Church. We seek to deepen our love of God to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We aim to nourish our members through prayer, outreach, education and joy-filled worship. We strive to build the Kingdom of God by serving the needs of one another and those of our neighbors.

    • Be Rich In Good Works If you received a final request from our Bishop asking for your support of the fall 2016 Bishop’s Annual Appeal, please respond as your means permit. The Appeal is essential to the work of the Church in reaching out to those in great need who come to our Catholic Charities agencies. It also supports seminarian education, inner-city area education and our priests’ retirement residence. Every gift is important so whatever you can do is a blessing. Please respond today.     • OLM is in need of couples who would be interested in helping engaged couples to be better prepared for married life. If you are among the chosen few please call Anne Marie or Kevin Kelly at 973-283-1507 or email at kinnelonkelly@aol.com.
    • Thanks to our parishioners who have donated non perishable foods to the Fr. English Food Pantry. Your generosity helps to feed many of the working poor families in Paterson. Next weekend February 25/26th is 4GetMeNot weekend and will be accepting donations to help with the continuing need.
    • Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to serve at Eva’s Kitchen on Saturday, February 4: Tom Black, Mary Smith, Stefania Masi, Kenny Mertz, Lynn Drazin, Mariline and Lino Tavares, Mother of Mariline Tavares, Eileen Donnelly, and Pat Brinks. A special call out to Lino Tavares for generously giving the coat off his back to one of the homeless guests at Eva’s who was outside shivering in the frigid temperatures on Saturday. Also, thank you to all the volunteers who cooked the chicken casseroles which fed approximately 180 homeless guests at Eva’s. Thank you, Kathy and Joe Gravino
    • Although we had our Pre Cana session on Saturday, we are always looking for couples who would be interested in helping engaged couples to be better prepared for married life.     • Msgr. Carroll needs two couples who would be willing to help out with 30 couples from the Diocese of Paterson with “God’s Plan”. You would help with registration, breakfast and lunch and generally be available to give directions to lavatories, and other facilities from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, March 4th.     • ON SALE THIS WEEKEND - The youth of RISE are selling chocolates for $3 ea or 2 for $5 per package. Proceeds will defray trip costs of the participants for their mission travel in July to help fix homes of those in need in NY State. Show your love by purchasing Valentine pops and chocolate dipped pretzels enjoy a yummy treat while supporting a great cause!
    • The OLM Ladies Guild is collecting gently used Communion Dresses, Veils and Suits for the children of Catholic Community and Family Services in Paterson. If you have a dress or suit please consider donating it to help a family in need. If you could have the garment dry cleaned we would appreciate it.     • SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, Feb. 21st – 7pm All parishioners are welcome to join Deacon Omar and the parents of the Religious Education program on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 PM in the Ryan Room. This workshop will be conducted by Deacon Omar and explore the topic of The Sacraments: Heavenly Gifts of Heavenly Life. This will be an interactive gathering. Mark your calendar so you carve time out for yourself, so you too can be nourished and grow in your faith.
